Currently the Bundesliga standings are burning at the top with Bayern Munich leading (37pts) and FC Union Berlin (36pts). But in third place is Leipzig, a team that is hot on the heels of second place and that has decided to take the rivalry from the fields to social networks with a monumental trolling.
It turns out that during the last days it was strongly rumored that Isco Alarcón would be a new player for FC Unión Berlín. However, at the last minute the plans fell apart due to some discrepancies between the man from Malaga and the German club, reported Spanish media linked to the matter.
But the truth is that Leipzig has taken advantage of the situation and has mocked Union Berlin on Twitter.
On January 31, FC Unión Berlin published the 11 players that would represent it in the match for the round of 16 of the German Cup against Wolfsburg. Given the absence of Isco, Leipzig took advantage of the situation to troll with the following short but forceful response.
The tweet quickly exploded and in less than 24 hours it already had 3.2 thousand “likes”, 140 retweets and 159 comments.
Union Berlin and Leipzig will meet in the second leg of the Bundesliga on February 11, 2022. The first leg was for the capital team 2-1 at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.
