Concern is growing at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after attacker Kylian Mbappé was injured during the match against Montpellier in Ligue 1.

The gunner fell to the grass after a strong challenge from a Montpellier player at 17′, and although he touched his right knee with signs of pain, he continued playing.

Three minutes later he stopped the game and rushed onto the field to request medical assistance. He was finally withdrawn from the game and the official part of the club is awaited to determine the severity of the injury.

“I was injured with bad support, and it hurts too much,” said the French striker as he left the field replaced by Hugo Ekitike.

“He had a blow to the knee, in the back,” said PSG coach Christophe Galtier, at the end of the match that closed with a score of 3-1 in favor of the Parisian team.

Mbappé had a bad start to the game, after missing two penalties and missing a rebound that represented a break in parity on the scoreboard.

The player is expected to undergo medical tests in the morning hours of this Saturday, and it is known how serious the injury could be that could condition his participation in the Champions League match against Bayern Munich.
