a-maintenance-employee-in-colombia-reveals-what-she-found-in-the-room-of-the-apartment-in-which-the-american-would-have-murdered-the-dj-valentina-trespalacios

The maintenance employee who entered the apartment in Colombia in which the American John Poulos would have assassinated the DJ Valentina Trespalacios did not notice anything strange or any clue that led to the facts.

The first person who entered the apartment rented by Poulos, 35 years old and originally from Texas, in the north of Bogotá was precisely this worker.

But, according to what he testified to the authorities, he did not detect signs of a crime scene.

The suspect, who was having an extramarital affair with the 23-year-old, apparently cleaned the space before leaving it.

According to the woman’s testimony to the Prosecutor’s Office, Poulos left the apartment at about 11:45 am on Sunday, January 22.

That same day, the remains of Trespalacios were recovered inside a suitcase thrown into a garbage dump in the Versalles neighborhood, in the town of Fontibón.

“In the bathroom trash cans there were condom wrappers, and in the kitchen there was chopped lemon. The beds were made. Nothing seemed strange to me, the towels were clean,” the woman would have declared according to the report in local media such as El Tiempo.

Prosecutors in the case allege that, out of jealousy, Poulos strangled Trespalacios inside the building after forcing her to have sex.

Poulos launched against the Colombian after allegedly finding out that she had a parallel relationship with the influencer and businessman Santiago Luna, with whom she had even gone to travel to Cancun and Aruba.

Security camera footage from the apartment was first captured when Trespalacios and Poulos arrived at the unit on January 21. The next day, the man is seen moving a blue suitcase in a shopping cart in which he would have hidden the body of the DJ. The suspect arrives at the parking lot of the place and places what would be the suitcase with the girl’s body in the trunk of the car and leaves the scene.

Apparently, Poulos had planned the crime in advance, since the authorities in Panama with the help of the Colombians and Interpol detained him last Tuesday when he was preparing to board a flight from that Central American country to Istanbul, Turkey.
