amanda-serrano-and-erika-cruz-weighed-in-at-125.4-pounds-at-the-pre-fight-weigh-in

This Saturday at the Hulu Theater in New York, space will be given to the unifying fight for the featherweight between the Puerto Rican Amanda Serrano and the Mexican Erika Cruz and this Friday the corresponding weigh-in was held; for both boxers the scale read 125.4 pounds.

At the time of the weigh-in they both stared at each other and carried the flag of their respective countries, Cruz looked at Serrano defiantly and ended with a small smile.

“The winners this Saturday will be the fans because it will be a fight with many blows. I have all the respect to Erika Cruz for accepting the fight. It will be a historic night for both of them,” commented Serrano.

The Puerto Rican enters the fight with a record of 43 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw; 30 of those wins by KO. While Cruz has 15 wins, only one loss and 3 draws. The Mexican will put the World Boxing Association (WBA) belt at stake, while Serrano will risk his feather belts from the International Boxing Federation (IBF), the World Boxing Organization (WBO), World Boxing Council (WBC ) and the International Boxing Organization (IBO).

Undoubtedly, 34-year-old Amanda is the favorite to win the fight, however “Dinamita” Cruz is a versatile boxer with great technique, so it will surely be a difficult fight for the Puerto Rican, who has just lost by decision to the Irish woman. Katie Taylor last April.
