The Leones del Caracas, representatives of Venezuela in the Caribbean Series, debuted with victory in the 2023 Caribbean Series against Federales de Chiriquí (Panama) with a final score of 5 runs to two, in a game that stood out for being the one that has registered a greater attendance of fans, with 35,691 attendees being counted.
But another of the outstanding details of the meeting has been the presence of a dog that the media and fans have nicknamed “Spirulais”.
While the top of the ninth inning was taking place, a black dog ran onto the field of play, stealing the camera lights, as well as the looks and laughter of those present.
Firulais entered the field of play looking happy and ran a few meters, but when he saw the members of the security chasing him, he ended up getting scared.
Finding himself cornered and with some of the fans present calling him, he ended up giving an Olympic-worthy jump to leave the field, causing applause and the fury of the public.
The Leones del Caracas will have their next duel on Friday, February 2 against Indios de Mayagüez, representatives of Puerto Rico.
