An off-duty New York Police (NYPD) sergeant was arrested today after an accident allegedly caused by alcohol in Brooklyn (NYC), authorities reported.

Sergeant Andrew Lindsay, 37, was charged with drunk driving and refusing to take a breathalyzer test after he crashed his personal vehicle into a car, the report reported. New York Daily News.

The incident occurred early today around 1:30 am at the corner of Fulton and Clinton Sts. at Clinton Hill. Fortunately no one was injured during the incident, however, for these actions Lindsay will have to face a trial for what happened.

The 14-year veteran of the NYPD spent most of his career with the Bureau of Transit and earned $128,000 last year. Before his arrest, he was assigned to the 78th Precinct near Park Slope last month, according to department records.
