The United States issued new sanctions this Friday against the Iranian company Paravar Pars, accused of producing and testing drones for the Revolutionary Guard of that country.
The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury sanctioned eight executives of that company based in Iran and against which the country already launched sanctions last September.
Among those appointed by the US authorities is the current director and CEO of the firm, Hossein Shamsabadi, and both the chairman of its board of directors, Ali Reza Tangsiri, and its vice president, Abualfazl Nazeri.
The statement stressed that Iranian entities continue to manufacture unmanned drones for Iran and that more generally, the country supplies such aircraft to Russia for its combat operations against critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
The sanctions this Friday include two ships of the Iranian Islamic Republic Navy, the Iris Makran, an oil tanker reused for naval operations and which has unmanned drone launch capabilities, and the frigate Iris Dena, which accompanies the latter in the “international trip” that he is currently making.
As a result of the sanctions issued, all property and interests of the sanctioned individuals and entities in the United States will be blocked.
