mazatlan-has-already-decided-everything:-ruben-omar-romano-would-be-the-new-coach-of-the-team

Mazatlán FC wastes no time trying to improve its performance in the current Liga MX Clausura 2023 tournament, so it would already have the Argentine Rubén Omar Romano as its new technical director to provide a new game strategy that allows them to add victories and even advance to the Liguilla of the championship.

The information was released by journalist Daniel Velasco from TUDN, who explained that the Argentine would have held talks with the Aztecs in order to become their new coach and formally return to international football after five years away from the bench.

This news would also mark his return to Liga MX, a competition that he left precisely in 2018 when he was in charge of his third stage with the Rojinegros del Atlas; with the team he saw his last game on March 18 of that year.

Romano is expected to sign his contract with Mazatlán FC in the next few hours after the advanced talks he had with the team’s board of directors. It is expected that this week he can be presented and start training with the players as soon as possible.

Rubén Omar Romano began his career as technical director in 1998, when he saved Atlético Celaya from relegation. Throughout his career he has commanded other teams such as La Máquina de Cruz Azul, the Tuzos del Pachuca, Rojinegros del Atlas, Tecos, Morelia, Santos Laguna, Puebla, the Xolos of Tijuana and the Águilas of Club América.

Rubén Omar Romano will take the position that Gabriel Caballero left a few days ago; the board separated him from Mazatlán after the negative results that place them in the last place in the classification table of the Clausura 2023 tournament of the Liga MX with a total of four consecutive defeats and zero points harvested.

If the Argentine’s hiring becomes official, his coaching debut would be against Club Puebla, in the match corresponding to the sixth day of Aztec football.
