A man wanted for allegedly shooting a homeless man during a fight on the Manhattan subway appears to be a comedian who was scheduled to perform Saturday night in Times Square, police said.

The alleged criminal, identified as 30-year-old Marcos Cofresi, acting under the names Leo and Leonardo Cofresi, is billing at the LOL Comedy Lounge on West 46th Street.

Cofresi, who is a resident of Bushwick, Brooklyn, allegedly injured a 34-year-old man in the abdomen and forearm in late January of this year while on a southbound N train, officials said.

Cofresi and his partner were arguing with the victim after 1 a.m. on Jan. 28, and when the train stopped at the Canal Street and Broadway station, the comedian apparently fired two rounds, the NYPD said.

The man was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, according to police.

The “wanted” comedian has two prior arrests for criminal possession of marijuana and fee evasion. In fact, Cofresi likes to talk about crime in his actions.

“Remember when people wanted to get rid of the cops? Do you remember that, like a year ago? Cofresi riffed on a crime-fueled version on TikTok of him. “A guy in a turtleneck said, ‘We should get rid of the cops.’ I was like, ‘You look so stealable!’ I was like, ‘Are you a fighter? Why do you want to get rid of the cops? He says, ‘No, I’m not a fighter, I’m a lover.

“I was like, ‘No, you’re a victim. We’re going to rob you, buddy!” he said, laughing maniacally at his own joke.

In August. Cofresi reportedly performed at the Front Street Tap Room in Frago, North Dakota, as part of a “NYC Friends” showcase.

The club revealed this biography: “Leo Cofresi is a former Dominican gang member. On stage, he has a devil’s advocate style with goofy banter and observation. You can watch it on ‘Game Theory’ on HBO.”

In early February, the New York police sought the public’s help in finding the suspect.

The shooter, seen wearing a skull mask, ran away with the woman as the train pulled into the station, the New York Post reported.

The distinctive mask may have caused a “What are you looking at?”, a reason that led to the violence perpetrated by Cofresi, police sources indicated at the time of the shooting.

The suspect is about 5-foot-10 and was seen wearing a dark-colored jacket with the word “New York” written across the front, dark-colored sweatpants, gray shoes, and a “New York Yankees” cap. ”said the police.
