two-women-were-injured-after-being-shot-as-they-left-a-brooklyn-apartment

Two women were taken to a hospital early Saturday morning after being shot while leaving a Brooklyn apartment, authorities said.

The victims, ages 30 and 37, were leaving a fourth-floor residence in NYCHA’s Unity Plaza housing complex on Blake Avenue around 1:00 a.m. when a man dressed in black opened fire.

The women were injured in the legs, the NYPD said.

Both were rushed to Brookdale Medical Center, where they are expected to survive their injuries.

The shooter would have escaped from the scene and is still a fugitive from justice until now, the officials explained.

It has not been clear if the suspect was aiming at the victims when the shooting began in the fourth-floor hallway of the housing complex.
