snowfall-alert-in-new-york-tonight-and-tuesday-morning

With an accumulation of over two inches, snow is forecast for New York City tonight, according to the National Weather Service report.

The precipitation would begin on Monday night, but would have its greatest fall early Tuesday morning, according to the report.

In the Big Apple, 2.3 inches are expected, while in areas of Long Island it could be up to 4.6 inches, according to the New York Weather Bureau.

It is possible that the snow warning will change to rain, experts said, noting that the Big Apple set a record for days without snow, but it has had quite cold days.

“Winter advisories for NYC and Long Island could have a change to rain,” he said.

The storm will affect other states, such as the New England region, but also Ohio, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Temperatures will range below 30 degrees Fahrenheit, but in some areas will exceed 40 degrees.

The Big Apple has had a strange winter, due to climate change and the effects of La Niña, experts have explained.

Unlike the West Coast and the Midwest, the Eastern region, mainly in southern New York, Maryland, New Jersey and other regions, has seen little or no snow, which has also impacted the economic activity of season.

“This is exactly what we should see in a global warming winter. We’re getting precipitation, it’s not like it’s dry, but it’s just not falling as snow,” Art DeGaetano, director of the Northeast Regional Climate Center at Cornell University, told The New York Times.
