vladimir-guerrero-jr.-is-intractable-in-spring-training-with-a-pair-of-home-runs

The Major League Baseball (MLB) spring training is already giving a view of the figures that will take the lead in each of the teams for the 2023 season; one of these stars is the Dominican of the Toronto Blue Jays, Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

The Dominican slugger has barely played two games in spring training and has not missed the opportunity to demonstrate his power by hitting a couple of home runs that turned out to be quite a spectacle for the fans that were present at TD Ballpark. The player hit a 401-foot drive Sunday in the Grapefruit League game against the New York Yankees.

These results have shown an important recovery in the physical condition of Guerrero, who had a setback during the 2022 campaign. However, his 32 home runs and the Gold Glove award earned him the name of the All-Star Game.

In an interview for MLB.com, the Dominican was focused on being able to improve his numbers and thus support the Blue Jays as best as possible to advance to the playoffs and even fight for the pennant, although he maintained that it is not an easy job to achieve.

“It’s not that I didn’t do it before, but I try to take things more seriously now. If we’re facing our own pitchers or in games like today, I’m just trying to give everything I can and prepare for the season,” Guerrero Jr. said.

“I feel good right now. Of course, I don’t feel 100%, but I’m trying to prepare myself as much as possible. I am working very hard to be at 100% for the season,” she added.
