10-us-cities-where-renting-a-house-costs-less-than-$1,300-a-month

If you have been looking for a house for rent that is within your reach, surely you have come across that prices have only been going up for a long time. However, there are still some places in the US that offer homes for less than $1,300 a month, according to a recent study by Realtor.com.

These are the 10 cheapest cities for renters in the US, according to said analysis:

1. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (median rent $982)
2. Louisville, Kentucky (median rent $1,167)
3. Birmingham, Alabama (median rent $1,178)
4. Rochester, New York (median rent $1,235)
5. Columbus, Ohio (median rent $1,242)
6. Indianapolis, Indiana (median rent $1,266)
7. Memphis, Tennessee (median rent $1,274)
8. St. Louis, Missouri (median rent $1,279)
9. Cleveland, Ohio (median rent $1,290)
10. Kansas City, Missouri (median rent $1,298)

The Realtor.com study also revealed that there has been a slowdown in prices, although they remain high. That is to say that, although they continue to rise, they do so to a lesser extent.

In addition, the analysis revealed that the median rental price in the 50 largest cities decreased to $1,726. This means a decrease of $7 dollars from December and $80 less than what was registered in August.

Although there are places where the average rent is $3,000, in the 10 areas already mentioned, renters still have the possibility of getting a home for less than $1,300 per month.

It should be noted that many of these areas have fewer homes available for rent, due to high demand. This means that low-priced homes may not last long.
