In the middle of last week, a strong winter storm particularly hit the Midwest of the United States, leaving low temperatures in its wake, as well as heavy snowfall in places where these meteorological phenomena do not usually occur.
Not only human beings must adapt to inclement weather but also animals, which must take certain measures to protect themselves, and also their own, particularly their young.
And as proof of this, we have a couple of videos that have gone viral in the last few hours, as they show the endurance of some bald eagles to keep their eggs safe from the snow that recently fell in some places in California and Minnesota.
The first video shows Jackie and Shadow, a pair of bald eagles that live in Big Bear Valley, a natural area in southern California, which is completely covered by snow.
On YouTube, there is a camera that monitors, live and 24 hours a day, these birds, who have resisted the snowfall in order to continue nesting their eggs.
The pair of bald eagles take turns during the day to preserve their eggs; while one leaves to look for food, the other bird stays, regardless of the fact that the snow completely covers their bodies.
In another state of the United States, in Minnesota, another bald eagle could also be caught taking care of its 2 eggs from the strong winter storm.
This impressive moment has been recorded by the EagleCam managed by the State Department of Natural Resources (DRM).
As can be seen in a video captured by this fixed camera, which has been recording the same nest for 10 years, the eagle is practically buried in the snow; it only sticks out its head while the body is completely white.
