bride-in-india-dies-during-her-wedding-rituals-and-is-replaced-by-her-younger-sister

A wedding held a few days ago in India became international news due to the series of unexpected events that occurred in it, particularly that the bride died and was incredibly replaced by her younger sister so that the party could continue.

According to various local media, the bride, who was identified only as Harat, was fully living all the rituals that are customary to do in that country when a wedding is celebrated, and which usually last several days.

Unfortunately, while various songs, dances and other events were taking place at the Bhagwaneshwar Temple, located in the city of Bhavnagar, to celebrate Harat’s union with a man named Vishal, the bride began to feel unwell.

The girl began to feel dizzy and minutes later she fainted, so she was rushed to a hospital near the temple where the wedding was taking place. Unfortunately, soon after, the doctors informed her relatives that she had died of a sudden heart attack.

At the wedding venue, Harat’s family mourned his death deeply, but his father, Jinabhai Rathore, made an agreement with the groom’s father, Ranabhai Butabhai Algotar, so that his youngest daughter take her sister’s place. This with the intention of guaranteeing that the wedding celebrations will continue.

Other local media suggest that a businessman and leader of the Maldhari Samaj community named Laxmanbhai Rathore was the one who convinced the bride’s family to do this so as “not to send the groom and his family empty-handed.”

In addition, it transpired that, during what could be called the second wedding, Harat’s body was kept in cold storage until it was over.
