The Esmeraldas de León of the Liga MX are working hard to get one of the positions that allows them to advance to the Liguilla of the Clausura 2023 Tournament of the Liga MX and thus continue fighting to try to win the Aztec football title to position themselves among the best country clubs.
The team achieved a valuable draw at the Nou Camp stadium in the visit of the Rayados de Monterrey at the end of the activity recorded this weekend in Matchday 9 of the Aztec competition.
Given this fact, the Ecuadorian winger and one of the main figures of the Esmeraldas de León, Ángel Mena, assured during an interview for the club’s social networks that they are working hard to obtain the results and that they are leaving good feelings in the first commitments of the tournament. Likewise, he maintained that they hope to continue fighting to be able to reach the title.
“It was a great start to the tournament, to the year and I think that this should be the starting point for the objectives that we have as a team and individually one sets goals and objectives, I think that the most important truth is to be able to go as far as possible with the team, qualify for the league in the first instance and then fight for the title, which I think this team has what it takes to do it with”, highlighted Mena.
In addition to these words, the international of the Ecuadorian team assured that his experience in the MX League has given him great knowledge in his career as a player, for which he feels quite happy in their ranks.
“For me it has been wonderful, as he always said in life there are good moments and others not so good, which are lessons; I have had to live championships, lose championships and everything is part of football and in life, the only thing that I do not forgive myself for not continuing to fight, which is what I propose every day; trying to keep up, trying harder every day,” he added.
