man-arrested-after-fatal-shooting-in-downtown-st.-louis

A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged with being in a fight that led to a deadly shooting in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, on Monday.

The subject identified as Deshawn Thomas, 22, was indicted for first degree murder and armed criminal action in the investigation. He is currently in custody in the City of St. Louis without bond.

The events occurred around 10:00 am in the 700 block of North Tucker Boulevard, when authorities arrived and found the victim with a gunshot wound, reported KMOV 4.

According to a preliminary investigation, prior to the shooting, the victim was involved in a fight with a male suspect at a nearby Shell gas station. After the events, the man fled the scene.

A nearby officer caught sight of the suspect at around 2:40 pm as he was entering an area library and directed him to District 4. The arrest was subsequently made.

The video of the crime was uploaded on Twitter; however, it was censored due to its graphic nature, according to the person who uploaded the images.

“Twitter removed this video I posted yesterday so I’ll post it again,” the person who posted the video wrote, according to the Riverfront Times. “It doesn’t show the murder on camera, so stop censoring it.”
