The museum directed by the Pachuca Group announced the names of 18 figures who marked history in world football, who will make up the 11th class of the Hall of Fame since its foundation.
Soccer players Rafael Márquez, Cuauhtémoc Blanco, Fernando Quirarte, Ricardo La Volpe, Óscar Pérez and Emilio Azcárraga Milmo were chosen to become the new stars who will enter the International Soccer Hall of Fame; According to the choice of the jury made up of journalists from forty countries, these figures will be part of the National category for their performance within the Mexican National Team.
These figures will join other international stars in the museum created in 2011 by Grupo Pachuca, in Mexico; This organization is the current owner of Real Oviedo and whose headquarters is a giant soccer ball located in Mexico City.
Through its account on the social network Twitter, the International Soccer Hall of Fame also notified that great legends of the planet will join these Mexicans in the 2023 class, being the case of the Spaniards Carles Puyol and Xavi Hernández; the Italians Carlo Ancelotti and Francisco Totti; the Brazilians Rivaldo and Kaká, and the Cameroonian Samuel Eto’o.
Likewise, the Mexican deans José Alvez and Isidoro Díaz, and the international dean Uwe Seeler will be invested. In the female category, the Brazilian Pretinha and the Mexican Andrea Rodebaugh will join.
In total there will be 18 representative figures in the history of soccer who will be part of the eleventh generation of the International Soccer Hall of Fame.
Currently, the International Soccer Hall of Fame is made up of 44 honorary members, including international legends such as Pelé, Cruyff, Beckenbauer, Maradona and Di Stéfano, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Fabio Cannavaro and Raúl González.
The organization also has the international support of some of the most important leagues on the planet, since it is a space dedicated to paying tribute to the most important football figures and which can be appreciated in the American continent, since the other similar site It is the FIFA museum in Europe.
