The fans of the Gallos Blancos de Querétaro received very good news for the current Clausura 2023 tournament of the Liga MX, since the Disciplinary Commission of the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) reported in a statement that the one-year punishment of the Stadium Corregidora has already been fulfilled, so the franchise will be able to once again have an audience in the stands this coming Sunday, March 5.
Let us remember that the Disciplinary Commission punished the Gallos del Querétaro due to the acts of violence registered on March 5, 2022 against the fans of the Rojinegros del Atlas.
This means that the Querétaro team will be able to count on their fans again for the match corresponding to Round 10 of the Clausura 2023 tournament of the Liga MX against the Red Devils of Toluca. It is important to note that the team will also face off at home against Juárez FC on March 19 and against Máquina de Cruz Azul on the 29th of this month.
The information was disseminated by the FMF itself through its social networks, where they detailed the culmination of the sanction.
“The Disciplinary Commission informs that derived from a request made by the Club Gallos Blancos de Querétaro, it has been confirmed that the sanction imposed on said Club of playing behind closed doors for 1 year, for the events that occurred on March 5, 2022 in the match between the Gallos Blancos de Querétaro and Atlas Clubs, has been fulfilled”, said the FMF.
“Finally, it is reported that in order to carry out the reopening, the Club Gallos Blancos de Querétaro must have an authorization issued by Liga MX confirming compliance by the Club with all the security measures necessary to carry out carry out an official match in accordance with the Regulations, documents and circulars issued by the FMF and Liga MX, as well as the corresponding assembly agreements,” the statement concluded.
