The Mexican fighter Alexa Grasso has become one of the most important sports references in her country after becoming the new Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight champion, which has allowed her to receive a huge number of samples of affection and admiration for this important achievement.
Now, the last gift that this mixed martial arts (MMA) figure has received has been a gigantic mural in the streets of Guadalajara to celebrate her triumph, in what has been the most accurate so far regarding the fighter of the UFC.
Within the framework of International Women’s Day, which is still being commemorated in Mexico, the Jalisco National Chamber of the Graphic Arts Industry (Canagraf), Zapopart and Urban Improvement, decided to deliver two murals to highlight the importance of women and one of these was just destined for Grasso.
This impressive painting is located next to the Zapopan station, which corresponds to Line 3 of the Guadalajara Metro; In that same space they also made a mural in honor of the boxer Irma “La Güerita” Sánchez, who was a champion in three world boxing organizations.
The so-called Niña Bonita de Guadalajara was painted on an immense wall with all her implements to face each of the fights that she usually has in the octagons of the Ultimate Fighting Championship; it also has the word ‘Mexico’ and the colors of the national flag.
This is not the only painting in honor of Alexa Grasso, because there is also one in the city of Tijuana, in Baja California, where they decided to celebrate the title conquered by the Aztec.
Grasso joins Brandon Moreno (Flyweight Championship) and Yair “Pantera” Rodríguez (Interim Featherweight Belt) as the only Mexicans to wear a sash from the UFC.
