FC Barcelona seems to be doing everything possible to fulfill its only and most important objective for the next season of LaLiga de España, and it is precisely to bring the Argentine star Lionel Messi back to its ranks; the current world champion will end his contract with Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in June and would be looking for a new team.
According to the vice president of the sports area of FC Barcelona, Rafa Yuste, the team is in talks with Messi to be able to return him to Spain, thus putting an end to the rumors about this possible union.
During the press conference for the Barca Academy World Cup tournament that was held at the Joan Gamper sports complex, the official from the Catalan team pointed out that he has “a lot of respect” for the French team, although this has not generated any impediment for them to try to convince Messi to leave their ranks.
“I have always had the thorn in me that Leo could not continue with Barcelona. Of course I would love to see him come back. Falling in love is mutual and destiny is wise and makes you return where you should be, ”Yuste expressed in his statements.
The manager also acknowledged that the president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, held a meeting with Lionel Messi’s father due to the “good relationship” that exists between them, although he did not reveal whether they had any conversations about his possible signing.
To culminate, Yuste explained that there is still no “an attack plan” on the part of the blaugranas to be able to make the Argentine leave PSG, but that they hope to achieve the signing in the most beneficial way for both parties.
These words come after several very important players in the squad such as Sergi Roberto and Marc-André Ter Stegen spoke about the options for Messi to return to what was his home for so many years.
