The porn star Stormy Daniels spoke for the first time after the recent accusation of Donald Trump in a Manhattan court, assuring that she felt “proud” to face the former president, but said she feared the violence that may occur during this process.
Daniels, 44, is at the center of controversy after the former president allegedly bought the actress’ silence with money from the 2016 presidential campaign around an alleged sexual encounter they had in 2006.
“(It is) monumental and epic,” Daniels said in an interview with the Times of London regarding the accusation she made against Trump, admitting to feeling “proud” to play a leading role in a possible downfall of the Republican.
“It’s a claim,” Daniels said. “But it’s bittersweet. He has done much worse; It should have been shot down sooner.”
The actress warned that whether Trump is found guilty or not, violence and chaos are likely to break out.
“Whatever the outcome, it’s going to cause violence, and there will be injuries and deaths,” he said. “There is the potential for a lot of good things to come out of this. But either way, a lot of bad things will also come out.”
Likewise, he made a parallelism about the riots of January 6, 2021, fearing that the result of the trial will divide the Americans and generate armed conflicts.
“The other side of this is that it will continue to divide people and raise them up in arms. He has already gotten away with inciting riots and causing death and destruction,” Daniels said.
Daniels acknowledged feeling ready to face Trump in court, but admitted to being afraid of the backlash from her supporters.
“(I’m scared) for the first time, yes. And a part of me hesitates to say that because you don’t want blood in the water. Somehow it encourages sharks, ”acknowledged the actress, who said that she has already begun to receive threats on social networks, emails and telephones.
“The country is more divided and the people are more desperate. I’m not afraid of (Trump) or the government, but it only takes one crazy supporter who believes that he is doing God’s work or protecting democracy,” he said.
When asked if she could feel intimidated by facing a person as powerful as Trump, the actress pointed out that far from feeling that way, she joked that she “has seen him naked”, so “there’s no way it could be more scary.” Fully clothed”.
Trump, who has already begun his run for the Republican nomination as president, denied having a sexual relationship with Daniels, calling these claims a “total scam” while also accusing her of “extortion.”
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s Office filed the indictment against Trump, making him the first former president to receive criminal charges.
