mother-who-died-of-a-cocaine-laced-with-fentanyl-overdose-in-new-jersey-may-have-been-playing-russian-roulette

The five Cheesecake Factory workers, including a mother from New Jersey, who inadvertently overdosed on fentanyl-laced cocaine in a mall parking lot were playing “Russian roulette,” a co-worker said. fatality.

One of the employees, who preferred anonymity, explained that drug use in the parking lot is so “depressing” that he now leaves his vehicle in a different area.

The only fatality in this incident was Michelle Edoo, 29, who died three days after she and other Cheesecake Factory co-workers used cocaine laced with fentanyl, authorities said.

The other four workers at the shopping center, whose names have not been revealed, survived the incident that occurred on March 15.

“I was shocked,” said the anonymous colleague, noting that employees usually gather in the lower level of the parking lot where the women overdosed. “It’s like playing Russian roulette today. You don’t know what’s in half of things.”

The group thought they were ingesting cocaine and did not know it was laced with a dangerous amount of fentalin, Bergen prosecutors said.

A regular visitor to the Hacknsack shopping center said there is frequent drug use in the lower level of the parking lot.

For his part, the good Samaritan identified as Aaron Kim, 30, was heading to the mall gym when he realized what was happening and rushed to help, the New York Post reported.

“Clearly, they were not breathing and they did not have a pulse,” he said.

For its part, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office would not comment on the “ongoing investigation.”

Likewise, the mother of the fatal victim, Natasha Edoo, refused to disclose how her daughter died.

“This is a private moment. It’s very sad, “she told the New York medium and added:” Fortunately, Michelle was able to help other people. Her organs were donated to four people.”

A GoFundMe for Michelle Edoo has raised nearly $9,000.
