This Sunday the New York Police (NYPD) reported the discovery of a 52-year-old man in an elevator in the Bronx with a stab wound to the neck. The man was identified as Andre Harry, who lived one block from the building where he was found.
Andre Harry was found on the floor of a building on 175th Street near Prospect Ave. in Crotona around 3 p.m. Saturday. According to the NYPD, no knife was found at the crime scene, so there is no clear motive for the murder.
The victim had an extensive criminal history, with 31 arrests prior to her death. That same day in Brooklyn, a 67-year-old man was killed while out for a walk on Saturday morning. A witness told authorities that the man was attacked by a man who was riding a bicycle with his face completely covered.
The 67-year-old victim received two bullet wounds to the chest, for which he was transferred to Brookdale University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The witness stated that the victim was walking on the corner of Atlantic Ave. and Williams Ave., around eleven in the morning when the suspect opened fire.
So far it is not known who the suspects are in both crimes, although it is known that in the Brooklyn case the suspect fled west on Atlantic Ave. The NYPD is investigating these two crimes.
