Through its Twitter account, the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) exhibited the new shirts, both home and away, highlighting that its design was inspired by abstract expressionism because it “brought the artistic epicenter of Europe to the US , just like Team USA did in women’s soccer.”

Each jersey will have blue dots in different places which represent the diversity and different personalities of each of the players who have set themselves the goal of winning the fifth World Cup in their history.

Likewise, it should be noted that this design, which belongs to the Nike brand, was structured together with the players and current world champions, with the intention of maintaining the traditional white but giving them an abstract style, which in this one is blue in the form of a stain. This shirt also has the shield of the current world champions, which is located in the center of the chest with the golden color that characterizes this badge. It will be the second time that said shield is present on the uniform since they have been champions in 2015 and 2019.

The away kit, modeled after Christian Pulisic, the striker of the men’s team, is dominated by royal blue with the federation shield and the Nike brand in red, as well as other stripes located near the neck and sleeves.

The World Cup will be held from July 20 to August 20, 2023 in Australia and New Zealand.
