Walmart officially announced that it will close 17 stores in the month of April that are spread over 13 states in the country. The following stores are those that are scheduled to close in April:

In recent times, Walmart has been focusing more on online commerce, improving its delivery systems.
The company’s chief financial officer, John David Rainey, said that while most of its profits currently depend on brick-and-mortar stores, in five years they will depend on it much less.
Walmart wants to focus more on allowing other, smaller businesses to sell on Walmart.com, as the company believes this is the best strategy for the future.
