A woman was hit in the head with a gun and dragged into a car in Los Angeles last Tuesday, in what California authorities described as “a possible kidnapping.”
The images of the violent attack and the possible kidnapping were captured by a security camera installed in a house, an incident that was recorded on the aforementioned day around 4:30 in the afternoon local time.
In footage posted to YouTube by Fox Los Angeles, a woman is seen talking on her cell phone as she runs up a driveway in an apparent attempt to hide.
However, seconds later, the suspect pulls up in the driveway in a car.
“As it approached the 2200 block of Couts Ave, the suspect vehicle stopped in a driveway and the suspect got out. He struck the victim with a handgun and dragged her to the passenger side of the vehicle and then drove away,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported in a news release.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male wearing a white tank top and black shorts, as well as black and white shoes; the relationship between the two individuals is unclear.
The victim would have been a Hispanic woman with “dark brown red hair”, who was last seen wearing a black dress and sandals.
“Anyone with information regarding the identity of the victim, suspect, or vehicle is asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Major Crimes Bureau at (213) 229-1700,” the department’s bulletin adds.
