al-nassr-denies-that-its-president-said-that-signing-cr7-was-“a-scam”

Al-Nassr has come out to deny the statements that various Spanish media attributed to the president of the Arab team, Musalli al Muammar, in which he allegedly states that he was cheated with the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The team’s press advisor, Al Walid al Muhaidab, assured the EFE agency that this version is false, and that the club president did not say that.

“The statements that have appeared in the Spanish press with a source from a page called ArabiaNews50 are false, they are not true in form or content,” said Al Muhaidab.

The press officer also pointed out that the president of Al-Nassr has not given interviews recently.

In addition, he stressed that in Saudi Arabia there is no local media called ArabiaNews50, which appears as the supposed source used by the media in relation to false statements.

Media from Spain and Latin America have replicated information in which the president of Al-Nassr would have said: “I have only been scammed twice in my life. The first time was when I ordered three kebabs and only two were delivered. The second has been for having signed Cristiano Ronaldo“.

Laughing, the Al Nassr press officer said that “apparently, some media outlets took it out of a joke and thought it was a true statement.”

He also assured that the Portuguese star “has a two-and-a-half-year contract and the player is happy”, despite the fact that he is going through a bad scoring streak and his team has been eliminated from several competitions.

Al Muhaidab also stated that “the club is very happy with him.”
