alarms-on-the-yankees:-aaron-judge-is-injured-and-leaves-the-game-against-the-rangers

The alarms went off this Thursday at the New York Yankees, after their captain Aaron Judge had to leave the game in the fourth inning of the first game of the series against the Texas Rangers, shortly after expressing physical discomfort at the height of the right hip.

This injury to Judge comes a day after the Yankees suffered a scare when the player appeared to have sprained his right wrist after sliding off a base during the final game of the series against the Minnesota Twins.

‘The Judge’ did not look good at all in his three turns at bat. In the first two that were between the first and second innings, he was struck out on pitches by Rangers left-handed starter Andrew Heaney. After the second strikeout, the New York outfielder was seen to wince before returning to the dugout.

However, he stayed in the game for a couple more innings and after his third at-bat, he was replaced by versatile pitcher Oswaldo Cabrera in the bottom of the fourth inning.

This right hip injury would be the product of the slide in which he also injured his right wrist after a failed steal attempt against the Twins, in which Judge fell heavily on his hand and ended up injuring the aforementioned area.

So far in the Major League season, the 31-year-old outfielder has played 25 games in which he has batted .267 with six home runs, 14 RBIs, 18 runs scored, two stolen bases and a . 881.
