The Mexican boxer and multiple world champion, Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez, is starring in a pitched battle before facing off against the British John Ryder on May 6 in the city of Guadalajara.
This is Juan Manuel ‘Dinamita’ Márquez, who has constantly criticized the man from Guadalajara by assuring that he will not be able to add the victory to get off on the right foot for the fight he plans to have by the end of the year against the Russian Dmitry Bivol.
In a recent interview offered for TUDN, Canelo Álvarez explained that he still does not understand the reason for the constant criticism of ‘Dinamita’ Márquez. However, the 32-year-old star assured that these types of comments do not hurt him and that otherwise he is strengthened.
“Márquez always talks about me, he always talks bad about me for some reason, his criticism doesn’t cause me anything. He doesn’t strengthen me either, I was born strengthened and I always feel that way because of what I have with me, ”said the Aztec.
Likewise, the red-haired boxer assured that he currently feels in the best moment of his career as a boxer, especially since he is the current champion of the super middleweight title in the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO; He maintained that it is not easy for any athlete to become the monarch of all these high performance categories.
“I feel like the best in the world, I am the only one who has risen and has faced the best, gaining and losing weight is not easy, I deserve that place,” said Canelo Álvarez.
Let’s remember that a few weeks ago Juan Manuel Márquez asked Canelo Álvarez to face his compatriot David Benavidez and not against John Ryder, cataloging that they do not have the same competitive level. The man from Guadalajara responded to ‘Dinamita’ Márquez by assuring that he was “envious” of the career he has recorded in recent years.
