The famous Wendy’s chili will no longer only be available in its restaurants, but soon also in the supermarket. The fast food chain’s home-style chili will hit US store shelves later this spring.
Wendy’s announced that in partnership with Conagra Brands, Inc., a food company, it will bring its canned chili to grocery stores and online retailers.
“We work closely with the Wendy’s culinary team to ensure we bring back the indulgent flavors and delicious ingredients of chili that has long been a staple on the Wendy’s menu,” said Juliette van de Walle, brand leader for chili prepared at Conagra Brands.
Wendy’s Chili Beans has 29g of protein per can and is made with salted beef in a combination with bell peppers and a tomato-based sauce. The suggested retail price is $4.99 per can.
Wendy’s and Conagra did not give an exact date when the chili will be on sale in supermarkets, although they anticipated that it will be available from spring 2023.
While Wendy’s has been bringing one of the most beloved products to stores since its inception in 1969, this is the first time an iconic dish from the chain has made its way to the supermarket. In 2021, Wendy’s partnered with Kellogg’s to transform its Frosty chocolate into a limited-edition breakfast cereal.
Now Wendy’s is betting on bringing its chili to stores in partnership with Chicago-based Conagra Brands, Inc., one of North America’s leading branded food companies.
While you patiently wait to get your hands on Wendy’s chili from the supermarket, you can currently take advantage of several offers the chain has to help its fans “survive” Mercury retrograde.
