The recent changes and cuts that the multinational company Meta has been making have finally reached the entertainment content of Facebook Watch, and among the most notorious cancellations is the hit show ‘Red Table Talk’, hosted by actress Jada Pinkett Smith.

In fact, according to Deadline, the entire Facebook Watch division is being phased out for good. The announcement by Meta spokespersons does not give more details about it.

What is known is that this movement comes after Meta announced that it will focus its efforts on creating virtual reality content for its users, including one-on-one experiences in Meta Horizon Worlds, an online universe that can be accessed through Instagram and Facebook. .

‘Red Table Talk’ debuted on the platform on May 7, 2018. It was produced by Westbrook Studios, a company founded by Jada and her husband, Will Smith. Winner of several Emmy Awards, the morning talk show featured Pinkett Smith, her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, and her daughter, Willow Smith.

The third used to talk about issues relevant to society, such as abortion, minority rights and the legalization of certain drugs. They also featured guests from various fields, especially entertainment, with programs dedicated to Gloria Estefan or Will Smith himself.
