Manchester United has made official the renewal of the contract of the 18-year-old Argentine Alejandro Garnacho until June 2028, ensuring for at least five more years the services of the young promise who has also captivated the Argentina coach, Lionel Scaloni.
Garnacho was formed in the lower categories of Getafe and Atlético de Madrid and in 2020 he arrived at Manchester United where he has impressed in such a way that he has counted for coach Erik ten Hag on 15 occasions this season, in which he has left two goals .
“When I came to this club, I dreamed of making my debut, playing at Old Trafford, scoring my first goal and winning trophies in this shirt. I am very proud to have experienced all these moments. We are very happy to have this opportunity to continue my adventure at Manchester United”, said the Argentine.
“The coach and his coaching staff have helped me improve in all aspects and with their help I can improve every day to help the team more,” said Garnacho at the renewal ceremony.
It should be remembered that Garnacho has not seen action with United since the end of March when he suffered an ankle injury that also prevented him from attending Scaloni’s call on the FIFA double date where multiple tributes to the Argentine team were held.
But Garnacho also has not had the authorization of the club to attend the U-20 Soccer World Cup that will take place between May 20 and June 11 in Argentina.
