The Mexican Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez had a timely appearance in the Qualifying for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix held this Friday and made sure he came out in third place. Max Verstappen (2nd) Charles Leclerc of Ferrari (1st), will be the rivals to beat at the start of the race.

Both Verstappen and Pérez made a mistake that Leclerc was able to take advantage of to take Pole and thus try to get into the top positions in the Drivers’ Championship this Sunday.

“We’ll see what we can do tomorrow. You have to hold on and try to get the best possible position without getting into trouble,” Verstappen said after the day.

Also, on Thursday Checo gave his impressions on Sunday’s race, where he highlighted: “I love urban circuits and the goal is always to win.”
