former-french-player-advises-mbappe:-“if-you-want-to-win-the-champions-league-you-have-to-leave-psg”

The frustrated departure of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid and his decision to stay at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for a million-dollar sum, continues to be a matter of debate in some media and former French players, such as Emmanuel Petit, who advised the young striker to leave the Parisian team.

The iconic former AS Monaco player emphasized the Champions League and what has been done to PSG despite having great players, for which he stated that as long as ‘Donatello’ continues in the Parc des Princes, it will be impossible for him be champion of Europe.

“If Mbappé wants to win the Champions League and become the best player in the world and win the Ballon d’Or, I think he has to leave PSG. The door is still open for him at Real Madrid, perhaps not as much as 2 years ago”, Petit said in an interview with ‘Legal Sports Book’.

In this sense, the ex-soccer player believes that next season in the Parisian team will be crucial for the future of Mbappé. “He signed a 3-year contract at PSG last time, but I think last season is negotiable. So the next campaign could be a turning point for him,” he said.

Likewise, the option that many want for him appeared, playing for Real Madrid, something that in his opinion is still viable, but he will not earn the same money as in Paris. “I think Florentino Pérez said recently that if he wants to come to Madrid, he is always welcome; but he has to think twice about the salary issue.”

This season, Kylian Mbappé has accumulated 34 goals and 8 assists among all competitions and for the moment, everything seems to indicate that his team will be champion of Ligue 1.
