American musician Zack de la Rocha has just spent $3.7 million for a mansion in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, California, that was built in the 1950s.
According to ‘Dirt.com’, De la Rocha bought this property from interior designer Jed Lind and his wife, stylist Jessica de Ruiter. With this sale, the couple managed to score a significant profit, since they paid $1.1 million dollars for the place in 2010.
De la Rocha now has a large estate built for him in the 1950s by architects Gregory Ain and James H. Garrott. At the time, the site was built for the painter Bernice ‘Burr’ Singer.
The musician has owned several properties in Silver Lake, but none of those properties were as impressive as this one.
Although the mansion was built in the 50s, it is currently in perfect condition and with a more contemporary style inside. This is thanks to a series of renovations that Ain and Garrott did.
It appears that De la Rocha was very interested in the property, as he agreed to pay $700,000 more than the couple’s initial request.
The mansion is built on a 5,197 square foot lot. The main house is 2,000 square feet spread over two levels with three bedrooms, two full baths, foyer, living room, great room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, and other amenities.
Its large windows stand out, which offer a great view of the exterior and ensure that the house is illuminated with natural light during the day.
The outdoor patio has a pool and enough space to enjoy the outdoors with family or friends.
