$40,000-stolen-after-threatening-child,-mother-and-grandmother-with-gun-at-new-york-home

Three home invaders in the Bronx (NYC) threatened to shoot a child and his mother and pistol-whipped his grandmother before absconding with a safe containing $40,000.

The violent robbery and home invasion took place around 8 a.m. Wednesday inside an apartment near Gates Place and West Gun Hill Road, the New York police said, posting photos of the suspects seeking their capture.

The three burglars waited outside the apartment owned by a 30-year-old woman until the door finally opened, police said. They then broke into the residence and pointed a gun at the woman’s 5-year-old son and threatened to shoot him unless he gave them money.

The armed bandits pistol-whipped the victim’s 58-year-old mother and forced the tenant into a back room where there was a safe filled with $40,000 in cash, authorities said.

The 30-year-old woman and her 5-year-old son were not injured. The grandmother refused medical attention, police said. Two of the thieves sped away in a gray sedan with the safe; the third invader left in a dark blue van, he explained New York Post.
