Alisa Bajraktarevic, an NYPD officer who works in the Bronx, is under internal investigation after she allegedly tried to prevent narcotics detectives from arresting her alleged drug-dealing boyfriend, law enforcement sources told the newspaper. New York Post.
Bajraktarevic, a 33-year-old robbery squad officer, caused such a commotion during a car stop on Saturday April 22 that policemen had to call for reinforcements but in the end no arrests were made. She was then moved to desk duty and had her weapons taken away the same day on suspicion that she was dating the unidentified suspected drug dealer, the sources said.
There are few details about the alleged affair, but sources said the couple met at a gym and the policewoman, who lives in Yonkers, had already been warned beforehand to stay away from the alleged criminal.
“Narcotics (detectives) had been watching her,” an anonymous NYPD source said. On Saturday police planned to search the car and possibly arrest the suspected drug dealer, but she apparently helped him.
The department was being very secretive about the case and sources were unable to provide the name or criminal history of the alleged drug dealer. NYPD only confirmed that Bajraktarevic’s status has been changed.
When asked, Bajraktarevic briefly denied that her boyfriend is a drug dealer and that the police were about to arrest him last Saturday. She said the car was parked when police stopped to investigate, but she didn’t explain what happened.
“There are certain things that I am not allowed to talk about depending on the department,” he said. “But the alleged drug dealer? That is not under investigation… He is not a drug dealer.”
Bajraktarevic, who has been with the NYPD for 11 years, joined the Bronx Robbery Squad in June and previously worked in that county’s 48th Precinct. In 2022, he earned $115,250 between salary and overtime, payroll records show. The agent has a private Instagram account @ alisa_619 where she has posted photos of herself in an NYPD uniform and also posing in a bathing suit and the gym.
