Two people were injured in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan, after a sidewalk argument turned violent when someone opened fire, leaving bystanders seeking cover Saturday night, authorities said.

The shooting took place on West 46th Street near 9th Avenue around 5:45 pm when the gunman approached one of the victims and began shooting, a police source said.

In security video, two subjects, one in a blue jacket and the other in a black jacket, appear to be arguing on the sidewalk in front of a Japanese restaurant as passers-by and employees walk around them.

“That? That? . . . Stop playing bro!” the man in the blue jacket says before walking away in apparent frustration as the man in the black jacket steps out of the video frame.

A few seconds later, while several citizens walk nearby, the individual in the black jacket can be heard “what’s up, na-a?”, moments before the shooting began, reported the New York Post.

Likewise, the man in the black jacket reappears in the video while holding an alleged weapon. A flash comes out of the barrel as it opens fire, according to the video.

A pedestrian with luggage took cover in the doorway of the restaurant to escape the gunfire, while a woman in the line of fire moved quickly to get out of the way as the man in the blue jacket ran.

The gunman fled the scene.

The injured victim was identified as Shaquille Bailey, 28, who was receiving treatment at Mount Sinai West Hospital for numerous gunshot wounds to the shoulder and hip, officials said.

“It was like two shots. I saw a guy limping. I think they shot him in the thigh,” said Ayushma Shrestha, 25, who works at a juice shop near the scene. “I closed the door and we ran back.”

A second victim was taken by friends to Mount Sinai Hospital.

So far the state of health of the shot is unknown.
