The Norwegian Erling Haaland continues to break records in the leagues he plays with Manchester City, and this Sunday was no exception, after scoring a penalty goal in the match against Fulham for matchday 34 of the Premier League.
The City striker reached 34 English league goals, equaling the legendary record of Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole.
However, there is a particular detail, and it is that these two players managed to reach that mark just at the end of day 42 of the Premier League. While Haaland achieved it with eight days to go.
This means that “El Androide” could break the record in any of his next matches, and even more, continue to take advantage.
Haaland’s goal for Fulham contributed to a 2-1 victory that now places City in first place in the Premier League table with 76 points, one more than Arsenal, which has 75 points.
The 22-year-old attacker arrived at Manchester City in the summer market from Borussia Dortmund for around $60 million.
In the 44 games he has played this season he has already scored 50 goals. 34 of the goals have been in the Premier League, 12 in the Champions League, three in the FA Cup and one in the EFL.
It is worth noting that Haaland also became the youngest player to reach 35 goals the fastest in the Premier League.
