The Mexican Soccer Federation announced this Monday that the Sports Director of National Soccer Teams, Jaime Ordiales, left his position with immediate effect by resigning from the 2026 World Cup process.
Through a statement, the Federation reported Ordiales’ separation from the project, which he reached in July 2022.
“The Mexican Football Federation (FMF) informs that by personal decision and by mutual agreement, Jaime Ordiales Domínguez leaves the position of director of Men’s Selections,” was part of the text that the entity wrote.
According to the minute, Ordiales would have complied with the estimated transition time after he took office to replace Gerardo Torrado, after the failure of the Mexican team in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, where he could not advance from the group stage under Gerardo’s tutelage. “Nad” Martino.
