minnesota-man-sentenced-to-103-years-in-prison-for-murdering-four-people-and-dumping-their-bodies-in-a-cornfield

A man found guilty of murdering four people in a Mercedes Benz pickup truck in Minnesota and dumping the bodies in a cornfield was recently sentenced to 103 years in prison.

The shooter was identified as Antoine Suggs, 39, of Scottsdale, Arizona, according to The St. Paul Pioneer Press.

The victims were identified as Jasmine Stùrm, 30 years old; Matthew Pettus, 26, Stùrm’s brother; Loyace Foreman III, 35 years old and Stùrm’s boyfriend; and Nitosha Lee Flug-Presley, a 30-year-old friend of Stùrm’s.

The event actually occurred a little less than two years ago, in September 2021. Antoine Suggs has, in fact, 606 days in custody, and should spend 68 years in prison. Later, he could be released under supervision.

During the trial, Suggs did not deny that he had murdered the four passengers, but indicated that it was an action in self-defense, as he thought the passengers were going to rob him.

The case was particularly controversial because Suggs, along with his father, Darren McWright, left the Mercedes Benz containing the four bodies in the middle of a Wisconsin cornfield.

A previous report in The New York Journal stated that Suggs’ father did not know that the bodies of the people his son murdered were in the abandoned vehicle. However, Suggs’ father did know that his son had been involved in a shooting.

Suggs’ father was also sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to helping hide the bodies in the cornfield.

Prosecutors say why Suggs killed the passengers in the Mercedes Benz pickup is not entirely clear, but that it all happened after a night of drinking in St. Paul.

Until the last moment, Suggs maintained his innocence, telling the judge, identified as JaPaul Harris, that the sentence was incorrect.
