Alpha Barrie (11) and Warren Garrett (13), two boy friends and classmates at a school in Harlem (NYC), have been missing since Friday and their families think they may have fled together.

Garrett is six feet tall, weighs 215 pounds, and lives in The Bronx. Barrie is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 100 pounds, and lives in Manhattan. Both are classmates at Democracy Prep Harlem Middle School and were last seen together shopping for food at Anas Fish Market at E. 145th St. and Lenox Ave. in Harlem around 6 p.m. Friday, he said. “There are millions of eyes and ears in our city and we are asking all of you right now to help us find these children,” NYPD Upper Manhattan Borough Chief Ruel Stephenson said yesterday at a news conference in The Bronx. “Researchers believe that because they are friends, they could be together.”

Barrie’s family reported him missing Sunday morning and police released a photo of the boy. “Because of his age, we are very concerned,” Deputy Chief Brian Gill said. “We are going to search by land, air and sea.”

Warren’s parents told police their son was missing Monday afternoon around 3 p.m.

Fatima Diallo, 22, Alfa’s older sister, said the last time she spoke to him was Friday before he left for work. She said her brother and Warren, whom she goes by the nickname “Men Men,” are best friends. “They are very close,” she commented.
