This May 16 Maite Perroni and Andrés Tovar announced through their Instagram accounts the birth of Lía, their first daughter together. “Welcome to the sleepless nights, the diapers… together with our unconditional love! You are our greatest blessing. We love you LÍA”, was the couple’s message along with a tender photo holding the baby’s hand.
Many were the congratulatory messages that the Mexican couple received for the arrival of Lía into their lives and here we will tell you what the meaning of the newborn’s name is.
According to portals specialized in names, Lía comes from the Hebrew and the name ‘Leah’. This name that Perroni and Tovar chose for her daughter would mean ‘tired, melancholic, languid and hard-working’.
‘Lia’ is also known for having been Jacob’s first wife, a story that has its place in the Bible.

It was on January 6, Three Kings Day, that the couple announced that they were in the sweet spiral by cutting the traditional rosca de reyes. With a video posted on social networks, they told the world that they would become parents. This happened just a few months after becoming married: it was on October 8, 2022 that the couple said ‘yes, I accept’ at the altar.
“Happy king’s day !!!! Now yes, let this 2023 begin full of love and what your hearts desire the most, may it be a great year for all ”, they said at the time.
The reactions, as has happened with the birth of the baby, did not wait. The RBDs, Maite Perroni’s companions throughout her career, were among the first to leave her messages.
