As in the last two summer transfer markets, this end of the season has once again increased the rumors of a possible link between Kylian Mbappé and Real Madrid, but this time it was the PSG striker himself who knocked down the rumors once and for all.
Regarding the award he received this Sunday where he was accredited as the Best Player in Ligue 1 for the fourth consecutive season, Mbappé wanted not to delve into controversy for this transfer market and decide his stay at PSG.
In a blunt way and regardless of the sources that place him as a potential reinforcement of Real Madrid, the attacker sentenced his presence for the 2023-2024 season in the French capital.
“I am happy with the decision I made last year. I’ll be at PSG next season”, commented Mbappé during the meeting with the media after the ceremony where he received the recognition.
However, he did not mention anything about accepting the option in his contract where he can aspire to one more year with PSG until the 2024-2025 season.
In fact, that option will expire next June, so by not giving the club an answer it will be a fact that he will play at least one more season for PSG and later become a free agent.
We will have to wait to find out what Mbappé’s future will be in professional football, but at least in his own words, he hopes to stay at the club where he has accumulated 211 goals and 84 assists in five seasons after arriving from AS Monaco.
