New York police are investigating multiple bullet holes in a window at a Walgreens located in Grasmere, Staten Island, after the pharmacy closed earlier than usual on Sunday.

There were three holes in the front windows that looked out onto Hylan Boulevard. One appeared to have come from the other side of the store, smashing a window that overlooked the parking lot.

One person disclosed that they received a notification that their prescription was ready for pickup, but were unable to search for it because the site was closed. However, the schedule shows that the store is supposed to be open until 11:00 p.m. and the pharmacy is supposed to be open until 6:00 p.m.

A 20-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after being grazed by a bullet in her left leg, who was wounded on Norway Avenue.

There was a heavy police presence in the vicinity of Clove Road and Norway Avenue in South Beach before 3 p.m. Sunday, SI Live reported.

Investigators are looking for the suspect connected to the alleged shooting.

According to sources close to the investigations, it could not be confirmed if the two events were connected.
