Former soccer player David Beckham bought a luxurious penthouse in Miami, Florida, three years ago. The British newspaper ‘The Sun’ recently reported that the Englishman bought the property through a mortgage that he is still paying.
According to the British newspaper, Beckham requested a mortgage of £10 million sterling (more than $12 million dollars) to buy the residence on the 59th floor of the imposing One Thousand Museum skyscraper in Miami, Florida.
Three years after the purchase, Victoria Beckham’s husband continues to pay the mortgage. It is said that he pays a monthly fee of more than £40,000 ($49,000), but taxes have to be added to that amount to £47,795 ($59,000).
‘The Sun’ was also able to report that the Englishman’s mortgage ranks seventh in the top 10 mortgage loans of the most millions among celebrities. Joining the Beckhams are Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Drake, The Weeknd, Mark Wahlberg, Angelina Jolie, J-Lo and Ben Affleck, Johnny Depp, Harry and Meghan Markle and the Osbournes.
Beckham made this purchase with Beckham Brand Ltd, at the same time he was creating the Inter Miami soccer club.
This space in the luxurious skyscraper is just one part of the long list of properties that the Beckhams own outside the United Kingdom, said portfolio of properties is valued at almost $90 million dollars.
Undoubtedly, the property in the luxurious One Thousand Museum stands out for its interior comforts: five bedrooms, several bathrooms, lobby, living room, main room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room and more.
It should also be said that this skyscraper is home to the first private heliport in Miami. The large 60-story tower began construction in 2015 and opened in 2019. Its designer, architect Zaha Hadid, was recognized with the Pritzker Prize.
The place also offers many services such as a gym, spa, swimming pool, beauty salon and much more.
