The Argentine striker for the Philadelphia Union, Julián Carranza, was chosen this Monday as the Most Valuable Player of the Week 15 of action in the MLS after being fundamental in the match they had against New York City the previous week.
Through a tweet published on social networks by the American league, it was learned that Carranza was selected as the most outstanding of the date for the two goals that sealed an impressive 3-1 comeback against the New Yorkers.
In this match, the Hispanic achieved equality after dominating the chest ball and later shooting cross, to almost immediately put the second sentencing the 2-1 in a counterattack.
Carranza has four goals in his last four games and with this recognition he took over from fellow Argentine Luciano Acosta (Cincinnati), who won the award for best MLS player on matchday 14.
Runner-up in the MLS Cup last season, the Philadelphia team is now fourth in the East, they have gone seven games without defeat (five wins and two draws) and this Wednesday they will host Charlotte on a weekday in the league.
