man-gets-impulsed-to-buy-scratch-off-lottery-and-ends-up-winning-$1-million

A California man hit the jackpot thanks to stopping for a cup of coffee. Nabi Hasani said something prompted him to buy a $10 Scratchers ticket to ‘The Perfect Gift’ game when he stopped at a Chula Vista store for coffee, according to a California Lottery news release.

This gut feeling helped him become a new millionaire.

He couldn’t believe his eyes when the $1 million jackpot was hit. “What a surprise. It was just a random (ticket) pick,” the lucky winner told lottery officials.

Hasani had 20 chances on his ticket to find a painting that had a picture of a bell on it. To achieve this, she would win the jackpot.

Hasani says that, when he had three boxes left to scratch, he found the happy bell that made him a new millionaire.

“I asked the cashier if it was true that I won. I still went home and showed it to my children and asked them to confirm it too,” Hasani told lottery officials.

California Lottery money goes to public education. Knowing this, Hasani said it was for the best to know that she was helping schools and children.
