man-wins-$3.6-million-in-lottery-and-will-use-the-money-to-help-a-friend-in-need

A man from Alberta, Canada, named Stephen Pegler, was surprised when he won $5 million Canadian dollars in the lottery. Now, he plans to use his new fortune to help a friend.

$5 million Canadian dollars equals about $3.6 million US dollars.

Pegler won the millionaire prize by participating in the Lotto 6/49 game.

He said the money couldn’t have come at a better time.

“We are going to help a friend in need. A friend of ours needs to travel to the United States for some medical tests. We will make it easier for his family, ”said the lucky winner, according to the Daily Hive portal.

Pegler said he’s had a rough couple of years and he thinks this award is the universe working in his favor to make up for it.
